Susan Medina has been practicing public relations for more than fifteen-years in the corporate, governmental and agency setting. She established SKM Communication Strategies, LLC in 2002 after overseeing the Public Affairs & Governmental Relations Department at the North American Development Bank for the U.S. and Mexican governments. Susan has partnered with Booker Hancock on various projects for a number of years.
She earned a BBA in Management/Marketing at the University of Texas at San Antonio and studied at New York University's Summer Public Relations Institute. Susan notes two Addy awards to her credit and was listed in the Super Bowl XXXVIII Host Committee 2004 Business Resource Guide. Some of her client work includes EnCana Oil & Gas (USA); ExxonMobil, Houston; JPS Hospital, Fort Worth and the United Nations Foundation.
Susan is an active Board Member of the Junior League of Fort Worth, a member of the Downtown Fort Worth Rotary, serves on Congresswoman Kay Granger's Young Leaders Group, the Fort Worth Library Foundation Gala Committee, Red Cross Chisholm Trail Chapter Derby Committee, Women's Haven Gala Committee, is a member of Sister Cities International, Van Cliburn Foundation volunteer, Women's Policy Forum member and is a recent past member of the University of Texas at San Antonio Alumni Board of Directors.
