James Maday is the Managing Director in NRFN's Chicago office. Maday brings a decade worth of public affairs, government relations, political campaign and issue management experience to NRFN. He manages grassroots and business development programs for NRFN and the clients of Midwest Public Affairs Group a NFRN subsidiary in Illinois.
Maday came to Chicago from Washington D.C, where he worked on Capitol Hill for six years. He served as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Michael Oxley (R-OH) advising him on telecommunication, tax, small business, labor and trade issues. More recently, Maday worked in government affairs at the Telecommunications Industry Association where he advocated the public policy positions of 600 telecom equipment manufacturers directly to Members of Congress, White House staff, U.S. Government agencies and foreign embassies on issues ranging from communications regulation to foreign trade policy.
A Cleveland, Ohio native, Maday graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and history. He is a Board Member and Director of Public Affairs at Rise Above It, a non-profit that provides direct assistance to adolescents and young adults battling cancer. He is a member of the Chicago Public Affairs Group and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Maday and his wife, Natalie, have a daughter and live four blocks from Wrigley Field in Chicago.
